Chai Whole Wheat Honey Muffins

Ingredients

  • 4 TBLS Unsalted Butter room temp.
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 TBLS Cane Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 1/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp All Spice
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Clove
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a muffin tin with muffin tin liners and set aside. 
    2. In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter, honey, and sugar. Let this mix together for 1 minutes. Using a spatula, scrape down the sides of bowl. Add the egg and mix until the egg is broken up. 
    3. In a separate bowl measure out the spices and dry ingredients. With the stand mixer on low begin to add the dry ingredients. Once all the dry ingredients are add turn the speed up slightly. Stop mixing when a batter is formed. 
    4. Scoop even amounts of batter into the lined muffin tin, about 2/3rds full. Pop the trays into the oven and then lower the heat the 350 degrees and bake for 15-18 minutes. 
    Carefully remove the muffins from the oven once  baked and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
