This Cinnamon Quinoa Blood Orange Yogurt Parfait it simple, easy to make ahead of time, and a fun and nourishing way to change your breakfast meal routine.
Quinoa is a cereal that is one of the only 3 non-animal products that contains all 9 essential amino acids which make it a complete protein. This breakfast is jammed packed with proteins from the yogurt to the quinoa which helps to keep you satisfied and will also help you maintain good metabolism. Having a more protein rich breakfast will get your body metabolising and working more efficiently, which means we will burn fat. Woohoo! Now that is what we all want.

Yields 3 servings
Time 25 minutes
1 cup cooked white quinoa
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 Tablespoons clove honey
1 cup plain greek yogurt (I used 2% Fage)
3-4 Blood oranges - peeled and slices
1. To cook the quinoa add the quinoa and equal parts water to a sauce pan. Add a pinch of salt and bring this to a boil. Once boiling turn heat to low, cover the pot and let this cook for 15 minutes. When the quinoa has cooked fluff it with a fork and spread it out on a plate while you cut the blood oranges.
2. Prepare and cut the blood oranges.
3. Mix together the cinnamon and clove honey with the quinoa.
4. To serve layer blood orange, yogurt, cinnamon honey quinoa and repeat.
