Dark Chocolate S’more Brownies

Dark Chocolate S’more Brownies

Summer time means longer days, hot in the sun, and of course s’mores. I love s’mores. They are so simple yet so so so delicious. These s’mores are bit different. They are extra special because these are the best ever Dark Chocolate S’more Brownies.

These are so decant and so delicious. This recipe should be made to celebrate something or make them as an extra special treat. I like to make them once a summer. When you bite into one of these scrumptious brownies you know they are extra rich and delicious.

The topping of s’mores over these really yummy dark chocolate brownies is so awesome. The soft yet lightly toasted marshmallows and the crunch of the crumbled graham crackers is unique to these brownies. Using dark chocolate makes these more rich than using semi-sweet or milk chocolate. Also dark chocolate is my absolute favorite. But you can combine semi-sweet or milk chocolate if those are your favorite kinds of chocolate

I don’t make brownies that often. For a sweet treat I bake cookies. I don’t know why but brownies are not my usual go to when I bake on the weekends. But these Dark Chocolate S’more Brownies are worth baking.

S'more Topping

  • 3/4 cup Small or Mini Marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup Graham Crackers crumbled

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13 or 9×9 baking pan. Set this aside.

    2. Melt the dark chocolate either in a double boiler or in the microwave. Once this has melted set this aside.

    3. In a stand mixer cream together the butter and sugar. On medium speed cream together these ingredients for 1 minute. Then scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Turn the stand mixer on and blend together until the eggs are lightly fluffy and broken apart. Add the cooled melted chocolate and turn the mixer on low to blend together.

    5. Bake for 17-18 minutes. Remove the brownies from the oven and then add the s'more topping and gently press the marshmallows and crumbled graham crackers in the top layer of the brownies. Bake for another 2 minutes.

    6. Then turn the broil setting of your oven. Broil for 2 minutes or just until the marshmallows are golden. Carefully remove and allow the brownies to cool before cutting into pieces and serving.
